About Bronwhy

Hi, I’m Bronwen.  Welcome to my blog.

As human doings, we usually define ourselves by what we do, but I’m going to resist the temptation to pigeon-hole myself as I have done for so long. Instead you can guess about me from what I write about in my blog. And anyway, a change is in the wind. Isn’t that the way of things?

I am in the process of re-membering and re-covering who I am and what makes my heart sing.  You might get an inkling of my influences and I would love to hear about what you think has brought me this far, and what I might be moving to.

I started this blog a long time ago, with a desire to share my travel experiences, and begin to explore the stories of my French ancestry, but I got stuck. Working in a job that was slowly sapping my creativity, in a city that was a bit too just do it for me to just be in, took too much of my attention. When I won a midnight blue Vespa, I knew that something was about to change.  It did – within months I chose to move cities.

Now, in the place I am meant to be in, with the space left by removing the plug of an ongoing job, I can finally peel back the layers of expectation, obligation and approval-seeking that have marked my first forty-five years.  I have a strong feeling that the years of writing letters, diaries, travel journals, copious amounts of postcards and emails mean one thing. I am a writer. I think this is the only pigeon-hole that I feel I fit into authentically and totally even though my life is full of so many other activities.  Having said that, this is my first public outing (no, Facebook doesn’t really count!).  It would be great to hear your feedback about what moves you or strikes a chord for you and of course the technicalities if you have the patience to guide me.

I’m looking forward to sharing the unfolding journey with you.

Let the show begin!
